Project Vision

EXPERIENCE THE OLYMPICS AT COLORADO SPRINGS

Timing is everything. The 2012 Games in London were the most-watched television event ever in US history with over 219 million viewers. Olympic interest is extremely high and growing. And yet, with all this attention, there is no Olympic Museum in the United States. The people of Colorado Springs have the opportunity to create that Museum. In partnership with the Olympic Training Center, there is real momentum to build not just a new museum but an Olympic Museum and Training Center Experience unique to this country. A new iconic building will present the history, artifacts, media, and our collective memories of the Olympic and Paralympic Games along with other experiences that attest to the universal power of the Olympic Movement. Just a short shuttle ride away the Olympic Training Center will offer a unique tour where visitors will get a first-hand, behind the scenes look into the day to day lives and training regiments of our Olympic athletes.

Opening the new U.S. Olympic Museum in Colorado Springs will be a gold medal win for the community, for Olympic history, and for the American people.
